As new, fine dining restaurants in the heart of Hull’s premier and newly developed Fruit Market and Hessle Weir, 1884 needed to immediately communicate their brand into the restaurant-heavy and competitive market. They offer a full service restaurant experience in a casual atmosphere. Without a website or an established brand, 1884 needed to launch their restaurant with a high-impact first impression.
Inspired by the owner’s reputation for a fine-dining experience, we launched Cucina 1884 and Steak 1884’s first website with an eccentric, attention-grabbing design that conveyed their characteristic atmosphere while displaying their offerings.
We embraced the restaurant’s logo and amplified it into a full brand that visually describes the comfortable and trend-setting atmosphere of the 1884 restaurants. Branding included creating business cards for restaurant management. Using a clean, simple design with a punch of accent color, we provided 1884 a sophisticated and modern business card, befitting of their brand.
The website also reflected the luxurious feeling of the restaurant’s food and comfort of the atmosphere, in a fully functioning marketing tool. We designed the website with a look that is clean and simple, making it user-friendly and straight to the point. In a beautiful digital experience, designed for both mobile and desktop, the end-user can quickly locate the menu, call the restaurant’s phone number with one touch, and make reservations.
